Big news for all you trials riders out there. Remember the Union Jack DCD that Martyn Ashton has that was never going to come out on the market. Well the makers are having a little think, and maybe it will be out on the market very soon so keep your eyes peeled.

The ever so popular DMR Ring Thing is now even better, made out of 4mm thick stainless steel. The edge of the thing is lazer cut to a razor spicked image to grip on any surface, wet or dry and now it is even capible of protecting against concrete. It will comvert to any 22-32 tooth crank, avaliable in 5 and 4 bolt attachments. Be careful as the Ring thing will invalidate your cranks warranty.

Another great bash guard is the Filthy Ard Gard as used by Martin Hawyes. It is very light weight but also one of the strongest around as it is made of 4mm of hardened aluminium. It must be if Hawsey's using it. It will definitely stand up to the abuse you can throw at it!I don't quite konw how much it is but I ahve heard that it is under £30!

Trials Bash guards are getting lighter and lighter, stronger and stronger but also more expensive! The likes of the Filthy Ard Gard (above) are really too much money for the young trials starter. The new Vario bash guards come in 22-32 tooth and are quite strong for the sort of price! They are only around £15 so it is obvious that they are not the best but they are a damn good budget bash guard!!!

Just to get away from bash guards, lets have a look at the lovely hydraulic rim brakes. Now these Magura Racelines are not exactly new but a lot of people have forgotten they exist. The improved Racelines are really the best brakes for trials and playing. They have got great stopping power as everyone knows. The racelines are now actually quite cheap as you can get them for around £79. Buy then now before they become expensive again.

If you race on a single cog crank, are you fed up with your chain slipping off the ring? Well you probably know about the MRP chain devise with the chain guide pulleys. Well if you ride Dual/downhill then you need one and they are not as expensive as you would think. A couple of years ago they used to be around £200 but have slipped in price rapidly in the past few months. They are around £40 for a fairly good one and about £70 for a really decent one or £160 for the MRP. The MRP is the best to buy as the pulleys are one of the strongest and hold very well indeed. It is fastened on by a clamp called a boomerang (as it is shaped like that) and is one of the best available. For more info on chain devises then talk to MBUK or visit MBUK.com and have a look at the new stuff available!!

A Decent cable disk is hard to find now with hydraulic disks and all. The cable has kind of gone to the cheap makers so the brakes are not the best. One that will serve you well is the Avid cable disk. It is not wonderful but will stop you well in a emergency. Again, not much is know about these disks as they have just come out so more information will be on the way as and when I get it.

Pedals worthy of trials/ dirt/downhill/dual/BMX are hard to find. The pedals at the moment are really cheap but are not very good. Well, you are wrong. The Atomic Air Corp pedals are very expensive. Actuall, they are £99 for a pair of pedals. Seems like a bit of a rip off to me. They are machined form 6061 T-6 aluminum   (I have no idea what that means!) and are some of the thinnest, strongest and most expensive pedals on the planet. They have molded split pins for grip and are removable. The main question is are they good. In one word. Yes. They stick to your feet like SPuD's but you can take you feet off them easier. Team MBUK use then so they really must be good. The are hand made in the USA and come in either silver or black.
