Kona Stab Primo

The Kona Stab Primo is one of my favourite bikes. Having riden one at Bike 2000 I found that there is more to the Kona than meets the eye
The Marzocchi Bomber Monster T's add 7-8 inches of travel to the front. They are coil/oil forks and respond to even the smallest of bumps. They are not the most favourite forks of the Downhill world but are good enough for me!!! Just the forks alone cost around £899 but don't worry, the pro Downhiller has enough money in a week to afford 2 of them!
The rear shock is again 7-8 inches of travel. The Fox vanilla (no not the ice cream flavour) Gas shock is amazing! It is very soft and again reacts to small bumps! The Fox vanilla is a found favourite of Downhilles and dual slalom riders. The rear shock doesn't cost as much as the front, actually it's only around £200-300! It is one of the cheapest and best downhill shocks around.
The Chain devise is a new part of Downhill bikes. They came into business about 3 or 4 years ago! They change drasticly fron the DCD that trials riders use to the full on Downhill Chain Dog that ..... well downhillers use! This one, a Mr Dirt chani guide is the top quality chain guide found on almost every Kona Bike used for Downhill.
The hydraulic disks are also a new part of the Downhill bike. These ones are hope's fully hydraulic disk for Downhill. These disks will set you back about £300 which isn't bad for this type of disk they are.
The rest of the componants are just normal type parts like bars, wheels and transmission.
Good: Well built frame, good forks and smooth transmission.
Bad: Nothing except the price (£3000)
