The World No 2 Steve Peat's bike is set to come on the market but with slight differences. The GT DHi is going to be another big hit with Younger riders and the not so rich as the bike is considerably cheaper than the Downhill version. The GT DHi offers up to 6 inches of travel both ways. Rockshox coil spring on the back and the 2000 Bombers Monster T's add the great downhill effect.

Another new bike on the market is the 24Seven Dark Angel. It is considerably smaller than average frames but taller riders should wait for the XL version coming out later this year. The numbers are limited to 200 so for £299 they are going to go quickly. The bike is more intended for dual slalom but it could be a trials bike if you want. If you are under 6ft then you can't go wrong because as far as I am concerned it is one of the best dual slalom bikes I've seen! More info as and when it comes.

The new design of single speed bikes is coming quite popular now. The new ON-ONE Gimp is a very light, very strong, very cheap (too cheap) single speed frame. MBUK say it is really good but I am not so sure. They may have tested it but I think the single speed frames are a real waste of money. They only give you one frequency of riding which for the price is not worth it. The frame has been priced at around £100 so it must be crap. A little bit too cheap I must say!!!!!

If you want a really hard hardtail then the Brooklyn Machine Works frame is the puppy to put your money on. It has a 26" front wheel but the real nifty feature is it has a 24" wheel on the back. The reason for this is it gives the bike better acceleration. It is as hard as nails but spends air time well and is great over the rough singletrack. It'll take whatever you can throw at it. It is a bit on the weighty side but thats not really an issue on this bike. It is a good frame price as well at £699.

As strange as it may seem, this bike is a Sunn. Sunn have not had a good season with bikes as they have been doing....well, badly. Alot of their bikes have not been great, apart from this little baby. The Duall is rather cool. It has its a nice pair of (what I think are own brand) triple clamp forks topped ogff with a rather good pair of cable disks. The disks are again, not amazing but please onlookers. Thats about all they are craked up to be. A good 5" rear travel soaks up even the biggest bumps. Well done Sunn, you have pulled through again.
