The new Bell Rhythm Pro is possibly one of the best full face helmets on the market. It is quite expensive but it works well with a 3 year crash replacement so it is a good idea to get one if you do Downhill or dual. With a light weight outer shell and a very comfy padded inner housing the helmet is one of the lightest on the market. It has the usual MX looks but with plenty of vents to keep you cool! As I said it is rather pricey at £140 but if it will save your shin then it is a good idea!

Fox make all sorts of quality helmets and cloths. This helmet, the Fox Flite is one of them. It is made for Downhill/MX but does the job for dual as well. It is a tad expensive ranging from £139-170. It is a top grade helmet if you want quality over price. Definitely a must for all downhill/MX riders with a big pocket.

More helmets. Remember the nice looking helmet Helen Mortimer used to wear when she rode for team MBUK/specialized. Well the Specialized King Cobra still lives up to its name! It truly is the king of trail helmets. If you can afford it is well worth getting it because along with its silky looks, it is also one of the strongest. Plenty of vents again and a new tight fit clamp on the back. At a rather hefty £99 but with a lifetime 25% moneyback crash replacement, it is one of the Kings of helmets.

Those Downhill protective trousers have been quite expensive up till now. The new Azonic X-5 trousers are at quite a reasonable price. There are double walled so they are quite heavy but a nice and airy so they keep you cool unlike others on the market. With a built in knee and shin pad they are brilliant for Downhill and protective enough for some thing like Trials. They are £79 which I think is a really cheap price for them!

If you are tired of your hands hurting when you fall off then you need some gloves that will last for a long time. The Axo Defenders are virtually indestructible with a triple walled neoprene fingers and palm and plastic protective casing on all the fingers and palm as well make this strong! VERY STRONG! They are fairly airy with a little bit of weight but that doesn't matter as they are really good. They are only £40 as well so buy some because they are possibly the best gloves available.

Not everyone likes the new downhill trousers at the moment with all the bright colours. Well, welcome the Big Daddy DH trousers. They are all black for the stealth like riders. They are made from a durable heavy nylon, with stretchy bits for comfort. With a good protection form grit and stones but airy enough to keep you cool, I will be putting an order in for some of these trousers. They are £89!!
